H&S Organising is a non-asset based and innovative business unit, established in 2005 from where all aspects of the supply chain are being organised. The H&S logistic experts provide the customers with the very best solutions for their logistic challenges. From integrated supply chain management solutions to outsourcing financial, operational and analytical processes. Logistic Services: this is where processes, technology and human knowledge meet in order to map and control the entire supply chain.
Characteristics of Logistic Services are: no assets, strong growth, scaleable business, traders role, architect of flow of goods and more and more IT-based. The BU currently employs 24 professionals.
WHS is a joint venture between Wilmar (production of Palmoil) and H&S. WHS Logistics is a 4PL control tower that takes care of the total supply chain process, offering a so-called “one-stop-shop” concept for its customers (for more info see www.whs-logistics.com).
Purpose of the BU Organising, responsibilities and mandate
Purpose of the BU is to create and maintain long term added value for existing and new clients by offering them the best possible, tailor made and independent logistic services.
The BU Manager Organising is end responsible for all aspects, necessary to achieve this purpose:
- Create an inspiring environment for the development of best-in-class services; where clients needs are translated into surprising, innovative solutions
- Facilitate growth of the BU in all its aspects (e.g. organisational structure, commercial activities, upgrade level of service, et cetera)
- Manage the team by inspiring, coaching, developing
- Develop existing clients to a higher level of cooperation (account management)
- Identify and develop possible new clients and prospects into valuable partnerships (business development)
- Create internal and external partnerships
- P&L-responsible for the Business Unit
- Act both internal and external as the authority of this particular service/BU
